New Update!

The last couple of weeks have been busy! In science we are studying the human body. Recently, we dissected owl pellets and put the rodent skeletons back together. Wow, what a fascinating activity! In math, we have been working on several different math skills and concepts. A few things are elapsed time, math facts (2’s, 4’s, and 8’s), and statistics. Ask your child about Doubles, Double-Doubles, and Double-Double-Doubles. In writing we are writing letters to Mr. Bones!

In class we are having some trouble completing and turning in homework. Please help your child  practice important skills at home and learn to be responsible. Thank you for your support!

If you would like to know your child’s reading level and reading rate please call or email and I’d be glad to inform you of your’s child’s results. I will be sharing all this information with you during parent-teacher conferences.

A couple of reminders worth noting: Missoula’s Theate performance will be this Saturday and next week on October 28th book projects are due and we will have a fall party Friday afternoon. Please be on the look out for an announcement concerning the what to bring for the party.

Questions to Ask Your Child:

1. What does it mean to merge your thinking?

2. How is a thumb joint different than a knee joint?

3. What and who is our governor?

P.S. The first child to bring in complete answers to these questions will receive a small prize!
